Ongoing Projects

Building Mombasa Second Phase - $800,000

Our second phase of the Mombasa main building will include a classroom (right now our campus does not have a proper classroom), office space and additional dormitory for 110 people. This is the only campus in Kenya with dormitories, so it receives students from all the rural campuses and from Congo for the second year. This part of the building will be 8,000 sq. ft. The existing part of the building will also undergo some more plastering and painting as part of this project. As part of the second phase, we will also finish the perimeter wall around the property and secure it better. We are currently encountering a lot of theft, so we need to secure it with a proper wall, another gate, and CCTV cameras. Part of the grounds will also be made into a park for students to relax when living on campus for a month at a time.

Congo 2026 - $45,000

This is our general Congo budget for the year, to operate 6 trips and modules a year. So far, we have trained pastors and bishops for over 100 churches in Congo, and we train about 40 pastors every year with he first year Rhema curriculum.

Completed Projects

Phase One Student Building - $130,000

Completed in 2016! Thanks to our faithful partners, Phase One of our building in Mombasa includes our dormitory, offices and a rooftop classroom for students at the Rhema Mombasa campus!

Student Center - $150,000

Completed in 2025! Our newly funded student center is nearly finished with construction!

Nairobi Campus Startup - $100,000

Completed in 2017! The Rhema Nairobi campus has been up and running since 2017 and has graduated over 200 students!

Rural Ministry Vehicle - $17,000

Completed in 2017! A big thank you to all of our partners that made this vehicle possible. It has gone to missions all over rural Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Congo.

Events/Classroom tent - $5,000

While the Phase 2 of the Mombasa building is under construction, we need to move the classroom into a tent. This tent will be on our own property as we have the land for it. We will also use this tent for conferences and events in Mombasa

Outreach and crusade sound equipment - $5,000

We plan on doing more outreaches and seminars in the rural areas again, and we will need to bring our own sound equipment and instruments for this.

Furniture – $30,000

Our Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu campuses are all in need of new and sometimes replacement of furniture. This includes office desks and chairs, classroom chairs and dormitory furniture.

Books - $15,000

Our book distribution division needs to boost its inventory and product selection. It costs us about $1000 to print 1 new title, and our goal is to print 15 new titles next year.

Ministry Car ( Landcruiser) - $45,000

At the moment, we have no vehicle suitable for guests or that can fit the whole family in Nairobi. The vehicles we use are a rugged 1993 Landcruiser designed for rough rural roads, another 4WD bus for team outreaches, and a very compact city car employees use to run errands.

We are looking at a 10-15 year old 7 seater Landcruiser, which is the only car that can endure the rough road conditions here in Kenya. (This may sound expensive, but it is due to very high import taxes on cars. A brand new Landcruiser is $145-180k)
